I came across an essay recently in the Irish Times by author Kerry Neville. The essay recalls her adventures with the Irish language and a chance encounter with an endearing gaeilgeoir by the name of Dónal. The one on one conversational lessons with 89 year old Dónal would be the envy of every hopeless gaeilgeoir out there, trying to get a grasp of their native language. The essay is charming and inspiring, so much so that I used the last words they spoke together as the focus of the print below. Tá tú go hiontach, a stór. You are wonderful, my love.

Pure dacent

I got this as a gift for the missus. She’s English, so to be fair it could have said anything, but when I told her the translation she nearly burst into tears.

I didn’t lift a finger around the place for about 2 weeks afterwards so if you don’t like chores I’d highly recommend this or any other prints. Top quality, excellent designs and quick delivery.

12/10 would recommend
