Well a screenprint is one way we made prints prior to all our fancy digital printers. And today it is still used to print clothes and by artists to make some artwork.
It is a very hand's on process with the image being created by forcing ink through a screen with your guns aka arms.
You will notice the difference between a digital print and a screenprint right away. The ink sits on top of each other in layers and with a trained eye you will notice little discrepancies through out the print. The colours are rich and have a tactile feel. They are quite lovely.
So if you would like some lovingly made art pop this one in your cart. It a limited edition print also so only 25 of these were ever made so once they're gone that's it.
Perfect gift for the Limerick people in your life or the diaspora who have a grá for the LK.
The print is 30 x 30 cm signed and numbered.
Here is a small video clip so you can see the process behind the making of a screenprint or as i like to call it "Behind the screens"
